Who We Are
Commonwealth Catholic Charities (CCC) Deaf and Hard of Hearing program now includes a variety of services including information and referral, advocacy, equipment demonstration, public education and interpreting. Staff help resolve life issues caused by communication difficulties caused by deafness or hearing loss, such as landlord/tenant disputes, clarifying situations with employment, and resolving problems with creditors.
CCC offers four levels of American Sign Language (ASL) classes throughout the year. Classes are held at the Richmond office. Seating is limited to 9 students per class on a first come, first service basis. Classes are for adult learners and children 14 years and older may register. Classes are 10 weeks and the cost is $60 per student. Visit the website for when classes are held.
